Corby Heritage Trail

astley work from 4 conveniently located sites in the UK, and our Kettering site was particularly keen to support the local council of Corby with their new Heritage Wayfinding project.

After securing the project via a comprehensive tender process, our teams set about working with the council stakeholders to initially plan out where key wayfinder messaging would be located. They completed this through extensive surveys and site visits with the client, discussing routes via bike, car by pedestrian. It was vital to understand the journey and potential access routes to the different key locations of interest and to ensure that key touchpoints were identified.

Once the routes had been established, our in-house design teams then worked with the client to set up the historic information panels, linking QR codes to the relevant online resources.

The production included a number of directional fingerposts, wooden posted wayfinders and information lecturns, positioned at the agreed locations around the route.
