Metalworker / Assembly Supervisor

We are currently looking to recruit experienced Team Leader for our Metalwork department in Kettering, producing high quality bespoke signage for leading brands in the UK. This role will be to support the Metalworks Controller, facilitating job allocation and assisting with the reporting processes within the department. There is also the possibility of development and growth within this role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and key tasks:
- Strong Supervisory skills. Taking responsibility for the workshop staff and their allocated areas
- Fully conversant with all sign making techniques and materials. Including, metal and plastic fabrication, woodworking, machining, and assembly
- Optimise use of production and manufacturing machinery to reduce manufacturing costs whilst ensuring on time delivery is met
- Assist the Production Manager to schedule the department workload, whilst overseeing accurate reporting and logging of department hours
- Ensure that H&S responsibilities are carried out in accordance with Astley H&S policy, ensuring a strong safety culture is developed and appropriate.
