We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator for our commercial department in Gateshead (Head Office) to help with the job costing process and cost management throughout a project from initial tender and pricing through to project completion and job costing analysis, applying a sound commercial approach at all stages.


Resposibilities and key tasks

  • Day to day management of allocated estimating workload
  • Support Sales & Account Management teams in the preparation of quotations and tender submissions
  • ERP configuration, maintenance & BOM creation as required
  • Prepare detailed written quotations/manuals for the Sales Managers as required.
  • Complete tender pricing schedules and liaise with sales and marketing staff on tender submission requirements.
  • Ensure correct material costs are obtained from Procurement and request/instigate a full tender exercise for specific products and raw materials if required.
  • Liaise with Procurement regarding cost and availability of non-standard items required for Estimate
