LOGISTEED

Branding a globally recognised logistics brand

Signage built to match the scale of the brand

A local project for a name known the world over

Big letters, built properly

Five signs, two sites, one standard

When a globally recognised logistics brand needed a fresh presence across two of its external sites, the brief was simple to say and hard to do: make it big, make it precise, make it safe.

We delivered five signs in total, including two sets of built up letters standing 2.8 metres high. Signs at this scale leave no room for error. Every fixing, every measurement and every lift is planned long before anyone sets foot on site.

The requirement

LOGISTEED needed a signage partner who could take large format work from design through to install without handing back a list of problems along the way. The existing signage had to come down first, removed and disposed of responsibly before anything new could go up. With two sites in play, the work had to be coordinated so both ran cleanly rather than tripping over each other.

Above all, the finish had to do justice to a global brand. Get the small details wrong on a sign this size and everyone sees it.

Our solution

astley managed the project from initial concept through to manufacture and installation, keeping every stage under one roof. Our in-house design team developed the assets, our workshop manufactured them, and our install teams put them up.

Two install teams worked across the sites, stripping out the old signage and fitting the new built up letters alongside the remaining signs. Coordinating teams of this size takes more than manpower. It takes planning, communication and a shared idea of what good looks like.

The result is signage with genuine presence. Big letters earn their place when they are made and fitted properly, and this project showed exactly what our teams can do when scale and precision meet.

BS EN 1090 fabrication

Large format signage isn’t just about how it looks – it’s structural, safety-critical, and almost always installed in public-facing spaces. BS EN 1090 is the UK and EU standard for the fabrication of structural steel and aluminium components, setting strict requirements for safety, quality, and traceability. For a brand like LOGISTEED, working with a signage partner who holds BS EN 1090 certification means every structural element – from large external signs and built up letters to freestanding totems – is designed, manufactured, and installed to legally compliant standards. At 2.8 metres high, signs like these carry real structural load and wind exposure, so compliance is not a box-ticking exercise. It reduces risk, ensures durability, and protects both the public and the brand, while demonstrating a commitment to the highest levels of professionalism and regulatory compliance.
