Industry standards to evidence compliance

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is a globally recognised quality standard that boosts efficiency, credibility, and customer satisfaction. For Astley, it helps enhance our competitiveness, streamlines our processes, and helps us drive continuous improvement for business growth.

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is a global standard for environmental management, helping businesses like ours reduce waste, comply with regulations, and improve sustainability.

BS EN 1090

BS EN 1090 is a certification for structural steel and aluminum fabrication, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Why should it matter to you?

Why BS EN 1090 so important - my current signage partner doesn’t have it?

Legally, any structural, fabricated signage such as large building signage or totems/monoliths have to have been manufactured in line with this standard to fulfil legislation. Sadly, there are some in our sector that fulfil the work without this certification which leaves both themselves and their clients at risk.

We are independently audited and assessed to ensure that our technical drawings, fabrication and installation are all fully certified to meet this requirement.

What benefits do I have by working with a partner that holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001?

In order to protect you as a client, we ensure that we manage all our processes in line with these standards. This means that we invest in our staff and our processes to ensure they continue to offer quality, sustainability and a safe solution for our clients whilst being considerate about our impact on the environment.

Working with a partner that focuses on what matters to you ensures for a more collaborative and sustainable relationship.

Trusting a partner without evidence of capability can leave your brand open to risk...

Health, safety & capability

Astley was one of the first UK signmakers to achieve BS EN 1090, and continues to invest in processes and staff training to ensure we offer services in-house that protect the brands we work with.

Our employees hold training certificates based on their role, ensuring that whether they are manufacturing or installing on site, they have received up-to-date and industry specific training. This includes CSCS, SMSTS, SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA and other specialist certificates such as SPA Passports (to enable them to work in hazardous environments such as petrol forecourts).

Training of all our staff is managed carefully to ensure we remain compliant against the latest legislation and best practices.
