Supporting a trusted brand with sustainable, focused delivery

astley is delighted to support Specsavers with tailored signage and brand graphics services across their UK estate.

Since 2023, we’ve collaborated on a variety of UK store brand roll-outs – delivering high-quality branded asset and implementation design packs that reflect Specsavers’ strong visual identity and commitment to sustainability.

The requirement

Like most high-street brands, Specsavers is continually reviewing how to make their stores engaging, focusing on visitor-experience and ensuring that they offer quality alongside sustainability. They are now competing with many more online brands who offer lower prices and convenience, putting pressure on traditional opticians.

Operating costs have increased and customers expect a seamless digital experience, including online booking, virtual try-ons, and e-commerce options.

High-street opticians like Specsavers must find ways to stand out – whether through customer service, product range, community involvement, and sustainability practices.

Our solution

As with any new client partnership, our comprehensive onboarding process with Specsavers focused on understanding both their immediate and long-term objectives. We took time to assess how their brand was currently being implemented in-store and explored opportunities to identify potential efficiencies in the process.

Our design team initially focused on producing store site packs but have since played a key role in developing bespoke window graphics – known as CityScapes. These ambient graphics require our team to research each location and create tailored illustrations that are then applied to the windows. The result is a unique, place-specific visual feature that enhances the overall scheme.

Working closely with Specsavers, our in-house design studio also create detailed site-specific brand implementation packs for each store, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all branded assets. This also means being able to respond to the different types of architecture within the estate.

Assets include fascia signs, internal graphics, and window displays—all manufactured with care and precision.

Installation is often completed out of hours to ensure for business-as-usual and minimal disruption for Specsavers customers and colleagues.
