Production Operative

Introduction to the role

We are currently looking to recruit a TEMPORARY production operative for our shopfloor in Gateshead, helping to produce high quality signage for leading brands in the UK. This role will be for the manufacture and assembly of signage and display products.

Skills required:

To help manufacture, assemble and finish signage and display products from supplied drawings
Fully competent in the use of hand tools and workshop machinery
Have good knowledge in manufacturing and assembly techniques including, woodworking, metal working, electrical assembly (LEDs) and plastic fabrication
Ensure production requirements are met regarding quality, cost effectiveness and on time delivery
Ensure all working hours and information is logged to assist accurate costing and data analysis
Manage your own H&S in accordance with the Astley H&S Policy and take responsibility for the upkeep of your allocated work area
