Delta Hotels

Looking great, day and night

Introducing branding magic to represent the brand effectively no matter what time of day it is

Prestigious locations, precision execution

Each Delta Hotel site presented unique branding needs. Marriott International began rebranding some of its UK Marriott Hotels to Delta Hotels by Marriott in late 2022, with a full transition by late summer 2023. This reflagging affected 23 properties, including several golf resorts.

Among the prestigious venues rebranded were the St. Pierre Country Club – host to over a dozen European tournaments – the Forest of Arden, Breadsall Priory, and Tudor Park. Across these destinations, we delivered a broad suite of branded elements: fascia signage using day-night vinyl (black by day, illuminated white at night), totems, external and internal wayfinding, entrance signs, golf course signage, and flags.

astley was proud to support Delta by Marriott as they launched into the UK market, delivering a tailored rebrand rollout within the Hospitality & Leisure Sector. This high-profile project saw us rebrand eight Marriott sites under the Delta name, from city hotels to championship golf resorts and country clubs.

The requirement

The challenge was two-fold: ensure consistent branding across multiple, varied locations, and deliver high-quality signage suitable for luxury hotel and golf properties.

Being considered an expert within this sector, astley provided the ideal skillset to handle this high-end delivery across multiple locations, ensuring that work was completed seamlessly.

Our solution

Our teams combined creative and technical expertise to execute this complex rollout.

One solution we offered was the use of day-night vinyl signage – functionally adapting to light conditions for impactful branding. This meant that their fascia signs were a brand colour throughout the day but illuminated white at night, offering the ideal solution for maximum visibility. The dual-colour signage technology required particular care and precision in design and application.

Internally, we used a range of substrates including gold ACM, tinted acrylics, and glazing manifestations to elevate the guest experience.

From surveys and design to manufacture and installation, we provided a complete, carefully managed signage programme – helping Delta by Marriott make a bold, successful entrance into the UK.
