Shaping a landmark with scalable, smart signage

Our long-term branding partnership with Wembley Park and Quintain has included design, manufacture, and installation of branded messaging and signage across the Wembley Park site.

High-profile projects include the structural manufacture and installation of the 9m digital wayfinding totems located at the base of the Olympic Steps—delivered in collaboration with Eclipse Digital Media—and totems installed along the main concourse ahead of the 2020 Carabao Cup final.

Each of these structures serves both practical and experiential functions, welcoming visitors and providing live, event-responsive messaging. Thanks to their digital flexibility, the totems allow real-time content updates to highlight key information, enhance safety, and reflect the excitement of ongoing events.

The requirement

Wembley Park receives hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and the signage, particularly wayfinding assets, need to work hard to support navigation into the key venue – Wembley Stadium.

Quintain need a brand and signage partner that can deliver high-impact, structurally sound, and technologically advanced signage across their busy and evolving public spaces. Their signage assets have to be built to stringent standards while offering the client long-term value through durability and content flexibility.

Our solution

Astley provides a full concept-to-completion solution—delivering design, structural engineering, manufacture, and installation under one roof.

The impressive digital wayfinding totems (9m and 5m) feature precast concrete bases, hinged access panels, and integrate large-format screens, all manufactured carefully to comply with BS EN 1090 structural fabrication standards.

Other wayfinding assets include finger-pointers and freestanding glass-fronted monoliths with interchangeable panels—offering easy message updates. This flexibility is essential for dynamic estates where leaseholders and property locations frequently change.

By offering both creative and technical expertise, Astley ensures every element meets health and safety compliance alongside aesthetic requirements for brand consistency. Our ongoing work at Wembley Park continues to demonstrate how signage can enhance the visitor journey while reinforcing a site’s identity on a grand scale.
