HSQE Manager

Astley is an award winning UK Company, providing complete signage and graphics solutions from concept design, through to final installation.

We have an opportunity for an experienced HSQE Manager to manage and lead the company’s quality, environmental and health and safety systems in line with the company’s strategy.

With overall responsibility for the Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental systems the role will deliver the ongoing certification and accreditation to meet the required standards. Driving continual improvement and a positive culture of change within the business, the HSQE Manager will work closely with the Senior Management team to ensure legal compliance, acting as the lead professional both internally and to all external bodies.

Ideal experience and characteristics:

NEBOSH qualification (or similar) along with proven experience of working with legally compliant systems consistent with the requirements of ISO9001, 45001 and 14001.
The ideal candidate will have a practical working knowledge of lean methodologies particularly regarding quality, for example, structured problem solving, 5S and process mapping.
ISO Auditor trained.
AP61 Appointed Person Lifting Operations qualification (or similar) would be beneficial (and required once in post).
CI leadership experience
Strong IT skills to facilitate high level presentation compilation and delivery.
Ability to travel within the UK as required to visit our facilities and also client sites, to undertake inspections and audits
The role holder will need to be an excellent communicator able to influence and deliver change across all levels of the organisation as well as able to create and deliver presentations to clients and training to employees.
