Creative Project Manager

Astley is an award winning UK Company, providing complete signage and graphics solutions from concept design, through to final installation.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced creative project manager that can liaise with clients on specification, quotations and requirements. They will also ensure projects are controlled through design, manufacture, delivery and installation stages in full compliance with the client’s order.

Responsibilities and key tasks:

  • To develop continuous dialogue with existing clients and grow the account where possible.
  • To be proactive in chasing clients’ drawings, enquiries and programmes.
  • Ensure all clients’ enquiries are estimated and quoted and supply correct information for this process, following up on enquiries once issued.
  • Ensure day sheets, paperwork and spreadsheets are kept fully completed and up to date and in agreement with client requirements.
  • Ensure new clients are credit checked.
  • Agree specification with clients when dealing direct and ensure all drawings and designs are signed off by the client.
  • Ensure commercial awareness is applied to all decisions made, ensuring procurement procedures are adhered to and budgets managed.
  • Prepare a full works order including material requisition based on the details of the clients order.
  • Ensure all works are completed within estimating times including materials, manufacture times and fixing times.
  • All fixing crews must be briefed fully before attending site and given a complete file showing the job requirements including the method of agreed fixing.
  • Ensure all fixers have relevant PPE, plant and equipment for the project.
  • Ensure any special access equipment required is on site and is only used by trained certified operatives.
  • Ensure all fixers are supplied with copies of method statements and risk assessments for each site attended.
  • Willing to travel overseas.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, contractors, colleagues, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing materials and techniques.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to prioritise and program workload.
  • Ability to control and minimise costs.
  • Design background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Full knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
