Accounts Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for our commercial department in Gateshead (Head Office) to assist with a range of tasks including purchase invoice processing and payments.

Resposibilities and key tasks:

  • Purchase invoice processing
  • BACS/ Cheque payments and records
  • Petty cash, payments and recording
  • Expenses claims
  • Bank postings
  • Bankings
  • Purchase ledger monthly payment run
  • Purchase ledger month ends
  • VAT information (Foreign sales, zero rated and foreign purchases)
  • Foreign payments initiation
  • Credit card expenses – checking and coding
  • Liaise with Procurement and other departments
  • Monthly Creditors payment terms
  • Use and management of the company ERP System
  • Monitor supplier invoice email account
